Seasons of Romance: Winter Love
(a SunDrop Sunbeam)
SunDrop, a new fiction imprint of New Concord Press (EGPG) is preparing to publish two anthologies in fall 2009, early winter 2010. These themed anthologies will contain 6 stories each, and be published in trade paperback, e-book, and Kindle formats.
In the chill of winter, nothing beats curling up with a great romance! And winter has its advantages too for providing backgrounds and situations that beg for love to bloom. A ski lodge, a cozy cabin, a crackling fire, a snowball fight? Stories can be in any era, any place, and any subgenre (except young adult and erotic romance).
- Romantic Suspense
- Mystery or suspense plot can be the main theme, but romance must hold its own in the story.
- Light Paranormal Romance
- Pepper your love story with whimsy, humor, and fantastical characters and creatures. Suspend disbelief and let your muse run wild!
- Dark Paranormal Romance
- Get creepy, but keep that love coming! Vampires, were-whatevers, ghosts-all welcome!
- Historical Romance
- Any vintage, any location, any culture- but the love story has to be the central theme here. Attention to historic detail will be all-important in these tales.
- Inspirational Romance
- Give us a good old-fashioned love story with a strong moral or lesson.
- Contemporary Western Romance
- Everyone loves a cowboy and a modern one, at that! Find a new twist for this craze.
- Mature Romance
- Baby Boomers rock! Experience counts for widowed, divorced, never-been-married older characters.
- Sensual Romance
- Suggestive and teasing, leaving more to the reader's mind than what's on the page.
